Out and About

Fine Art Connoisseur

December 2, 2007

Despite a transit strike, admirers of the American artist Barbara Ernst Prey (b. 1957) turned out en masse on October 18 to celebrate her new exhibition at Paris’s Mona Bismarck Foundation, An American View. Organized by Corcoran Gallery of Art curator Sarah Cash, this show features more than 50 of Prey’s watercolor scenes of her favorite locales in Long Island and Maine, along with a selection of her magazine illustrations and travel sketchbooks. It closes on January 12.
